Xiaomi has a new launch event lined up for September 5th which is expected to mark the official arrival of Redmi 6 series in India. There will be three smartphones named Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, and Redmi 6 Pro which will be offering different specs configuration and features for different price points. In a build-up to the event, Xiaomi India has now shared a new teaser on social media confirming that Redmi 6 series will feature dual VoLTE support.
The teaser features texts "Dual VoLTE's HD quality" and "Ab high-speed data performance ki full-on guarantee". This simply means that Xiaomi is touting high-speed connectivity to users without worrying about their budgets. It will allow users to make use of two VoLTE-enabled SIM cards at the same time which will truly prove to be a helpful feature. Currently, most phones in India offer VoLTE connectivity only in one of the two SIM card slots.
Prior to this teaser, Xiaomi India's Global Vice President and Managing Director, Manu Kumar Jain also tweeted about the launch of the Redmi 6 series. While he did not mention the phone or series name specifically, the tweet featured number "6" and showed outlines of three smartphones. It showed that two of these phones don't have a notch and only one has which suggests it could be the Redmi 6 Pro.
Xiaomi introduced the Redmi 6 series in China earlier this year. It means we already know what to expect from these phones but it is the pricing and India-specific features which will make the launch event worth following.
