Misfit Vapor was announced early last year, however, started retailing only by October last year. Exactly a year later the company has announced its successor, the Misfit Vapor 2 which will be available in a couple of size variants and built-in GPS.
The Misfit Vapor 2 comes in two sizes 41mm with 1.2-inches display and 46mm variant comes with a 1.4-inches screen. It is powered by an ancient Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor which could be a downer considering Qualcomm has already announced the latest Snapdragon 3100 processor for wearables.
The Misfit Vapor 2 comes with NFC and integrated GPS along with an upgraded heart rate sensor though carries almost same design as the previous generation smartwatch. The NFC chip will let users make payments via Google Pay in supported countries, while the GPS chip helps in accurately tracking the speed, distance, elevation, and time during runs.
The smartwatch has Google Assistant built in and is water resistant up to 30 meters, built-in music player, 4GB of storage, and 512 MB RAM. In terms of pricing, the Misfit Vapor 2 is priced at $249, however, its availability has not been announced yet. No words regarding its global availability as well from the company as of now.
