Xiaomi confirms Redmi Note 6 Pro India launch for November 22

Xiaom India is getting ready to unveil a new smartphone in the country. It is the Redmi Note 6 Pro which has now been confirmed for its Indian launch on November 22nd. It means exactly one week from today, we will be seeing the release of the Redmi Note 5 Pro successor, a smartphone which set new sales records in India.

The launch event announcement was made by Xiaomi via its official channels. The upcoming event is being teased as "The New Note Rises" along with the use of hashtag RedmiNoteLegacy. The whole marketing campaign is based around the fact that Redmi Note has been one of the best-selling mid-range smartphone series in past few years. For Xiaomi itself, it has undoubtedly been the best-selling series.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro was originally debuted in Thailand about a couple of months ago. It sports a 6.26-inch Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display which is taller than the currently available Redmi Note 5 Pro. It also has a notch which is a first for the Redmi Note series. Under the hood, it has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor as the predecessor. During its global unveiling, Xiaomi announced only 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant but with the Indian launch, we can expect to see more configuration options.

It has a 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel dual rear camera setup with f/1.9 and f/2.2 aperture respectively. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual selfie camera setup. The whole package is powered by a 4000mAh battery and it runs MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Although, Xiaomi is likely to announce it with MIUI 10 in India.
