Amazon Music for Android TV app now available for pre-registration

05 December 2018 2

Amazon Music app is available on a number of devices and platforms including smartphones and tablets. It can also be accessed on one's desktop via the desktop app and web browser. But now, it seems like Amazon Music is all set to grace your Android TV as the app for the same has been listed on the Google Play Store.

The app has been named aptly as Amazon Music for Android TV. The listing for the same is currently live but it cannot be downloaded as of now. Google is allowing interested users to pre-register for the app which will allow them to download the app as soon as it becomes available.

It means Amazon Music fans will be able to listen to their favorite music directly from their TVs as well. As the listing is accompanied by a few screenshots, it gives an idea of what to expect from the app. It shows that the app will have bigger texts/labels and album arts/artist images. This makes sense as TVs have a bigger display area. Overall, the whole design is quite minimal and clean with no cluttering.

It should be noted that Amazon Music is a music streaming service that comes bundled with the Amazon Prime membership. If you want to use it, you will have to be a Prime member. Alternatively, you can signup for the Amazon Music Unlimited if you don't want to go for the Prime one. The "Unlimited" one has a bigger collection of songs and a few more features.
