Snapchat releases new lenses specifically for dogs

26 December 2018 2

Ever since the inception of Snapchat Lenses, they have been in an instant hit among the core users of the app. This is the reason that team has expanded lenses to offer new ways of interaction with others. It has already released Word Lenses, Personalized Lenses, lenses that react to sound, and even lenses for cats. And now, it has finally released lenses for dogs to balance out things between dog and cat lovers.

Snapchat is calling these new lenses Dog Lenses which seems a perfectly apt name. Some of these lenses include a pizza garland for your dog, different cool sunglasses, and reindeer antlers headband. The process to use these new lenses is exactly the same as using any other lens on the application.

The only major difference is that these lenses are specifically meant for dogs. It means the Snapchat app will be able to recognize that it is a dog and eventually fit the lens perfectly. While you can still try putting on any of the other lenses on your dog, the end result will be a hit and miss (more chances of being the latter).

Snapchat's Dog Lenses were released on December 24th which means you should be able to use them if you have the latest version of the app. If you don't, you can always get it for free via Apple App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices respectively.
