Honor View 20 India launch confirmed to be Amazon exclusive

02 January 2019 2

Huawei's sub-brand Honor recently unveiled its latest Android flagship named Honor V20 at an event held in China. It is one of the early adopters of the in-display camera approach for providing a higher viewing area. It seems like Honor is now getting ready to unveil the phone in India quite soon as Amazon India has set up a 'Notify Me' page for the same.

This dedicated page confirms that the Honor V20 will arrive in India as Honor View 20. It will be an Amazon exclusive release which is not surprising considering the partnership between Huawei and Amazon India. The page does not reveal any further details like pricing or exact launch date but we can expect it to happen sometime after the first global launch event scheduled for January 22nd.

The Honor V20 (aka Honor View 20) sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2310 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display. Under the hood, it has the HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor which is a flagship chipset. It was released in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB and 256GB internal storage. It is unknown whether Honor will launch both or any one of the two variants in India.

On the back panel, it has a 48-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and AI prowess along with a TOF 3D secondary camera. It is claimed to be capable of detecting over 60 categories and 1500 scenarios. With the use of AI, it is able to adjust camera settings automatically depending on the particular scenario. It has a 25-megapixel selfie in-display camera which means you will only see a cut-out within the display. The whole package is powered by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. It ships with MagicUI 2.0.1 based on Android 9 Pie.

The Honor View 20 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
