Huawei’s P series has created a space for itself thanks to the gorgeous design, superlative camera performance and high-end specs. It’s upcoming lineup P30 series is also going to continue the trend and is already making its presence felt already thanks to leaks and rumors.
As per the latest reports coming out of China, the P series may include in-display fingerprint sensor suggesting the presence of OLED display panels. The reports suggest that the Huawei P30 Pro may come with a 6.5-inches curved display. While the Huawei P30 may also come with a 6.1-inches OLED panel instead of an LCD panel which Huawei normally opts for its regular version of smartphones.
Other key information available from the leak is that the camera on the phone may get the maximum updates. The Huawei P30 Pro is said to feature a new periscope-style rear camera to offer optical zoom in a compact body. This periscope-like camera offers a superlative camera. Both the P30 Pro and P30 may be powered by a Kirin 980 SoC, coupled with 8GB and 12GB of RAM for P30 and P30 Pro respectively.
Huawei’s top executives had announced earlier that the Huawei P30 series would be better than the 2018 flagships from the company. The P30 Pro is said to come with a 40-megapixel camera, a 20-megapixel sensor coupled with a wide-angle lens, and a third telephoto alternative that boasts an 8-megapixel resolution supporting optical zoom.
Leaks also suggest that there could be a fourth camera sensor on the P30 Pro. This is rumored to be a Time-Of-Flight sensor and will help in producing better bokeh images and AR implementation.
Huawei’s competitor, OPPO claims that it has been able to achieve 10X hybrid zoom with this new camera technology and we can expect the same type of technology being used by Huawei. The Huawei P30 series is expected to go official at MWC this year.
