Amazon's mobile payment solution Amazon Pay has been updated with Unified Payment Interface (UPI) support. It is the newest way using which Amazon Pay users can now make payments for purchases done on the shopping platform. Amazon has partnered with Axis Bank to provide support for UPI payments.
Amazon Pay UPI support is currently available only on Android devices but will be released for iOS soon. The feature is accessible via selecting a payment method. The whole process using Amazon Pay UPI is exactly the same as using UPI anywhere. A user can choose to use his existing UPI ID or create a new one. Once the ID has been set up, they will only need to enter their UPI PIN to authenticate a transaction.
While the UPI method can be used for purchases made on Amazon, it can also be used for third-party platform payments like bills and recharges. It is aimed at making online shopping faster and more convenient. It should avoid the trouble of going though entering details like card number, CVV, and OTP.
