OnePlus has released latest OxygenOS betas for OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T. It is OxygenOS Open Beta 29/27 for the OnePlus 5 lineup and OxygenOS Open Beta 15/7 for the OnePlus 6 lineup. These updates bring more or less a similar set of changes and fixes to all the four smartphones.
The team has primarily focused on fixing previously known issues and to improve the user experience. This includes screenshot UI optimizations, improved color adaptation for cards in the shelf, and UI optimizations. The OnePlus Switch now supports permission migration for applications.
As for the Weather app, there are three major changes. It has been updated to show detailed weather alerts so that users can make a more well-informed decision. The weather timeline has been improved to mirror system time format. Lastly, there are various bug fixes and improvements. The photo editor in the default gallery app has been improved but this particular change is available only for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T users.
All the four phones will be receiving the latest betas via over the air method for all open beta testers. The update notification should arrive anytime soon. For those who are not an open beta tester, they can either choose to flash the update manually or simply wait until these changes make their way to the stable version.
