Sony Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra Android Pie update rollout resumes

04 April 2019 1

Sony seems to have resumed rolling out Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra Android Pie update. One of the users from Myanmar has shared a screenshot showing the latest Android upgrade installation notification. The latest update bears build number 50.2.A.0.352 suggesting it is a fix for the update that caused issues in February.

The same Android Pie update was originally released in February in Russia. While the update was intended to bring the latest Android version, it ended up bricking devices for many users. This was the reason Sony opted to halt the update rollout but the restarting process, it seems like the team has fixed the issue.

If you are an Xperia XA2 or XA2 Ultra user, do look out for new software update notification. It is likely to be Android Pie upgrade notification with all the new Android Pie features.
