Realme phones to get ColorOS 6 Android Pie update in June 2019

04 April 2019 1

Realme has announced a new software update schedule for all of its smartphones. This new schedule covers a timeline of three months including April, May, and June. The biggest highlight includes the confirmation that all Realme phones will receive ColorOS 6 based Android 9 Pie update in June 2019.

It had previously offered an estimated timeline of Q1 2019 for Android Pie upgrade but because of unknown reasons, the rollout has been delayed by one quarter. The latest announcement does not include details about exactly when in June but it is still more specific than the previous announcement.

The best part is that all of the Realme phones will receive Android Pie. These include Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme C1, Realme 2 Pro, and Realme U1. It is a good thing considering many of the OEMs don't bother about upgrading their older, specifically budget phones, to the latest version.

Other than this, the team will be updating Realme 1, Realme 3, and Realme U1 with April 2019 security patch this month. It will further release May 2019 security patch for Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, and Realme C1 next month.
