Snapchat is undoubtedly one of the most widely used social media and instant messaging platforms out there. It is specifically popular among teenagers who love the app for its ability to self-destruct messages after a preset time. While the app works pretty good on iOS, it does not offer similar user experience on Android devices. The difference even more significant when you compare the images and videos clicked using the app camera. This is exactly what Huawei does not want to happen on its latest premium flagships.
Huawei has announced a new partnership with Snap Inc. to help deliver an optimized Snapchat experience on Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones. It means Snapchat folks have made some changes to the app to optimize it for the two Android flagships. The difference will be evident when someone would use the app on Huawei P30 devices to capture a photo or record a video.
The optimization will result in higher resolution images and a better stabilization for videos. Even though this change is aimed at regular Snapchat users, it shows that Huawei does not want its flagships to perform like most of the other Android phones when it comes to Snapchat.
Unfortunately, Huawei and Snapchat have not shared any information related to when P30 users should expect to see the changes. It is likely to be made available via an app update on the Google Play Store. We will keep you posted on the developments related to the situation.
