It has been about a month since Xiaomi unveiled Black Shark 2 as its second gaming smartphone. It is a direct successor to the Black Shark from the last year and brings a number of improvements. It even has a new and advanced cooling system to prevent the device from heating up during gaming sessions. And now, YouTuber Zack Nelson from JerryRigEverything has tested the Black Shark 2 for its durability.
During the test, it was discovered that the Black Shark 2 features glass not only on the front side but also on the back side. The only difference is that the back panel has a glass at select places. For the most part, Xiaomi has opted for metal with an iodized finish to give it a premium feel while also making it durable.
The front display panel also houses a fingerprint scanner which makes it one of the select smartphones to feature in-display fingerprint scanning technology. Nelson went on to scratch the display to check if the fingerprint scanning will still work and as it turns out, it did work absolutely fine.
Since the Black Shark 2 is made up of metal, it also managed to survive the bend test with no issues whatsoever. You can check out the complete durability test video below.
