27 May 2019 4

Ever since its debut, Redmi Note has been one of the best-selling smartphone series with its popularity increasing with each passing year. The story is no different for the latest Redmi Note 7 series as it has now crossed 10 million units sales mark around the globe. The announcement regarding the achievement has been made just one day ahead of the Redmi K20 "flagship killer" launch event.

In an official tweet, Xiaomi revealed that the Redmi Note 7 series managed to achieve the 10 million milestones within only 129 days since the launch. This translates to about 2.5 million units getting sold per month worldwide which is undoubtedly an impressive feat. Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun even shared photos of employees celebrating the occasion by cutting a special cake.

The Redmi Note 7 series was debuted with the launch of the Redmi Note 7 with a 48-megapixel rear camera in China. Redmi followed this with the launch of the phone along with Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. It should be noted that unlike China, it is the Pro variant that comes with the 48-megapixel sensor in India.

Most recently, the Redmi Note 7S smartphone was launched in India with a 48-megapixel sensor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. It is the smartphone that will be replacing the previously released Redmi Note 7 in the country soon.
