ZTE's sub-brand Nubia has confirmed that it will be launching the Red Magic 3 gaming smartphone in India soon. It made the announcement via official Twitter account but did not offer any timeline. The latest flagship was unveiled in China earlier this year and is one of the select phones that they are specifically aimed at gaming experience.
The Nubia Red Magic 3 sports a 6.65-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with HDR support. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB of RAM along with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB internal storage. There are four configuration variants: 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 12GB/256GB.
While most smartphone makers are now going for dual or triple rear cameras, Nubia has offered only one 48-megapixel rear shooter with f/1.7 aperture. The selfie camera on the phone is a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. On the software side of things, it runs Android 9 Pie right from the first boot. Some other noteworthy features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, DTS:X surround sound, and liquid cooling.
Nubia has priced the Red Magic 3 at RMB 2899 for the base model and RMB 4299 for the most premium variant. When Nubia Magic Red was launched in India last year, it was priced at Rs. 29,999. This suggests that we should be expecting the pricing to be anywhere between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 for the base model. This will make it compete against the likes of OnePlus 7, Black Shark 2, and upcoming Redmi K20 series in the Indian market.
