Oppo Reno 10x Zoom gets AI Night Mode, June 2019 security patch

26 June 2019 0

It has been two months since Oppo made Reno 10x Zoom edition smartphone official. It is a smartphone that boasts up to 10x optical zoom with the help of a periscopic setup. It means you can expect impressive camera performance from the device and to make it even better, Oppo is releasing a new update with AI Night Mode support.

As the name suggests, AI Night Mode is all about improving low-light photo capturing capabilities of the smartphone. It should help you click better than before shots when there is low light like during the night time. It should be making use of Oppo's AI algorithms to achieve such results. Such modes are also available on phones from other companies and have started to become an expected feature among mobile photography lovers.

The same update also brings June 2019 security patch to Reno 10x Zoom. This will help the device stay safe against various vulnerabilities and malicious attacks. It is the latest security patch from Google which means it is good to see Oppo keeping its devices updated.

Oppo is releasing the update via over the air (OTA) medium. It means you will receive an update notification once it becomes available for your device. Once installed, it will also bump the operating system version to ColorOS 6. The size of the update is 248MB which is not that big. It can be downloaded directly from the cellular data depending on what kind of plan you have.

The Oppo Reno 10x zoom isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
