WhatsApp Web without phone could start working soon

30 July 2019 0

WhatsApp Web is a handy feature for those who spend a lot of their time on PCs and laptops. It helps them stay in touch with WhatsApp contacts without having to keep switching between the phone and PC. The only issue with it is that it is not a standalone service and one needs to keep their phones connected to the internet and paired with the PC to use it. But a new leak claims that this is going to be changed in the near future.

WABetaInfo is a reliable tipster when it comes to WhatsApp related things as it has been able to report numerous WhatsApp features before their official announcement or release. It has now tweeted that WhatsApp is working on a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app for desktop that will eliminate the need of relying on an active connection with the paired smartphone.

This new app will support pairing compatibility with Android, iOS, and Windows devices. It will allow users to keep using WhatsApp on the web even when their smartphone is turned off. This will be appreciated by many users worldwide as it has been one of the most requested WhatsApp features.

It is worth noting that the tipster has not mentioned any release timeline for the same. It means it is difficult to say when exactly and if it will become for users. If WhatsApp has plans of releasing this feature, we should be seeing it in beta stage first and then the stable release after successful beta testing.
