Telegram loves releasing updates loaded with new features and story is not different this time around as well. The latest update for Android and iOS comes with noteworthy features that will improve the user experience. The two biggest features are named Silent Messages and Slow Mode that will let you send and receive messages in a slightly different way.
Starting with Silent Messages, this feature will allow users to send messages silently i.e. without making a delivery sound. It is aimed at those situations when you have to send a message but you do not want to disturb the recipient. This feature can be used by tapping and holding on the Send button to get a new option called Send Without Sound. It can be helpful when you are sending a late-night/early-morning message or you know that recipient is currently at a meeting or in a class. It works for both individual and group conversations.
The next feature is Slow Mode which is specifically meant for group admins. It gives them the power to set a time interval between sending texts for group members. This time interval can be as low as 30 seconds and as high as 1 hour to control the pace of messages getting delivered. Once set, all members will also see a timer telling the time left before they can send their next message.
Telegram has further added a few nifty features to enhances user experience. The update now allows groud admins to set their custom titles to help themselves differentiate in group conversations. The video-sharing experience has been improved as videos can now show thumbnail previews while scrubbing. Telegram now also supports video timestamp sharing to make it easier for sharing one's favorite moments from the complete video.
The update also brings animated emojis, a new attachment interface with bigger image previews, and accent colors for the Night Mode (only for iOS). The latest Telegram version is already available for download via Google Play Store and Apple's App Store.
