OnePlus TV name and logo officially confirmed; release "coming soon"

14 August 2019 0

OnePlus has announced that it will be calling its smart TV lineup as OnePlus TV. It is the same name which was used in leaks and reports but has now been confirmed officially via a blog post. The team further revealed the OnePlus TV logo while explaining the story behind choosing the name as well as the logo.

OnePlus Community Consultant dsmonteiro mentioned in the post that they received a lot of good name suggestions through OnePlus TV: You Name It contest started last year. They decided to go for OnePlus TV as it is "simple yet to-the-point – as we believe there's no other name that can best represent our value, vision, and pride than naming it with our own brand".

Just like the name, the official logo for the lineup is also very simple and to-the-point. It is OnePlus brand logo followed by the "TV" text. If we talk about technicalities of logo designing, OnePlus says that the logo is "inspired by classic geometric progression, which can be seen from so many classic art forms, such the ancient Hindu symbol, the mandala, and the famous ancient Greek temple, Heraion of Argos".

OnePlus has now shared any details release except for asking fans to stay tuned for more exciting news "coming soon". The name and logo announcement does suggest that an official launch is imminent. A recent leak claimed that OnePlus TV is expected to go official in September's last week. We have also reported that OnePlus TVs could be released in 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch display sizes with 4K HDR support.
