Xiaomi-owned Redmi brand is currently busy in the marketing campaign for upcoming Redmi Note 8 series. It recently confirmed that the phones will be coming with MediaTek Helio G90 processors. It has now shared a new teaser image confirming liquid cooling technology for Redmi Note 8 lineup.
The teaser image shows inside of a phone with a focus on the thermal heat pipe meant for liquid cooling purposes. The text on the image is in the Chinese language but it seems like Redmi is suggesting that the tech will be able to keep the phone temperature down by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. Since the phones are coming with a game-centric processor, it makes sense to pack them with a cooling technique as well. Although, it is not confirmed whether both phones or only the Redmi Note 8 Pro will feature the technology.
Redmi has also shared a benchmark comparison featuring MediaTek Helio G90T, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, and Snapdragon 710 processors. It shows that Snapdragon 810 and Helio G90T have close scores but when it comes to comparing to Snapdragon 710, the difference is huge. It goes without saying that Redmi wants to show that its chose processor is faster and a better option.
In a separate MySmartPrice report, the publication has shared storage and color variant details related to the lineup. The standard Redmi Note 8 is reported to come in three configurations: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. It will also have three color variants called White, Fantasy Blue, and Meteorite Black.
As for the Redmi Note 8 Pro, it will be released in 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB configuration options. The three color variants for the model includes Electro-optic Ash, Fritillaria White, and Hail Green. It is further expected to come with a 64-megapixel quad rear camera setup which will make it the first smartphone to do so. The Redmi Note 8 series launch event is set for August 29th which is less than a week away.
