Amazon's IMDb TV free streaming service comes to Android and iOS

27 August 2019 0

Amazon has expanded IMDb TV free video streaming service to Android and iOS devices. This is the same streaming service which debuted earlier this year under the name of Freedive. The naming has been changed since then and considering that many people like to watch even when on the go, it has now been made available for smartphones and tablets.

IMDb TV does not have a dedicated app and will be accessible directly from the existing IMDb app. This will save users from the trouble of installing one more app on their devices. All one need to do is to ensure that he is running the latest IMDb app version on his Android or iOS device. The latest version has a section dedicated to the service which makes it easier to browse and search content.

As you would expect, the service offers select movies as well as TV shows for absolutely free of charge. The catalog is currently not that big and is also lacking new titles but considering that you do not have to pay anything, you cannot actually complain. But despite this, there are still good titles like Awakenings, Run Lola Run, The Illusionist, Foxcatcher, Memento, Monster, The Last Samurai, and True Romance.

The good thing is that Amazon keeps on updating the available titles which means you should keep checking the app once in a while. Lastly, it is worth noting that IMDb TV is currently limited to users living in the United States. There is no information regarding expansion to other markets but if there is an announcement or report, we will keep you updated.
