Android 10 is officially out and is available for Google Pixel devices around the world. It has also been released for the Essential Phone which made it the only non-Google OEM to do so. But now, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi is reported to have joined the prestigious club of releasing the new Android version upgrade on the same of the official release.
The Redmi K20 Pro is the newest non-Pixel phone that is said to be receiving Android 10 stable update. It is currently reported to be available only in China. The update has been released based on Xiaomi's custom skin MIUI 10 which means MIUI 11 is still quite far from the public release. The download links for the update are also available if you are okay with the manual installation and also happens to be using the Chinese unit of the phone.
Some reports also suggested that Redmi K20 Pro was also receiving Android 10 stable update in India but a recent GSMArena report has denied that. It mentioned that the alleged stable Indian ROM was actually a beta build. This makes sense as Xiaomi started inviting beta testing applications from Indian users earlier this week.
With beta program underway, Indian users should expect Android 10 stable version to arrive on their Redmi K20 Pro units sooner than later. As for European users of the device which is known as the Mi 9T Pro, there are no words related to the update for them as of now. We will keep you updated as any new details will emerge.
