Xiaomi has confirmed that it will hold a launch event on September 24th in China. It is likely to be a big event as the company is rumored to make a number of big announcements. These include Mi MIX 5G, Mi 9 Pro 5G, a new smart TV, and the latest MIUI 11 version that will come pre-installed on future Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones.
Starting with the Mi 9 Pro 5G, it will be an improved Mi 9 with some new features and 5G network support. It will be the first smartphone from Xiaomi to feature 30W Mi Charge Turbo fast charging technology. It is claimed to charge a 4,000mAh battery from 0 to 50% in just 25 minutes of charging. It is also expected to come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor which comes with overclocked CPU and GPU.
The Mi MIX 5G will be the latest MIX series smartphone that will succeed Mi MIX 3 from the last year. It seems like Xiaomi is rebranding the lineup as otherwise, it should have been called the Mi MIX 4. The details regarding this new phone are pretty scarce but there are a few speculations. These include the use of a curved display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, and most importantly the 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL camera sensor. If this happens, it will be the world's first smartphone with a 108-megapixel camera.
Both these smartphones are likely to come loaded with MIUI 11 as Xiaomi will be unveiling the new custom skin version at the same event as well. A recent leak that the new version features a lot of visual changes including new design, icons, and even the font style. We will get to know all the details and release dates during the event for sure. Lastly, not much is known about Xiaomi's next smart TV but it could be a premium offering as even OnePlus is all set to launch a premium TV next week.
