Xiaomi has launched a new lineup of smart TVs called Mi Full Screen TV Pro at a launch event held in China. These TVs were announced alongside new smartphones Mi 9 Pro 5G and Mi MIX Alpha. As the name suggests, one of the USPs of the new TV models is up to 97% screen-to-body ratio which makes them look "full screen".
The Mi Full Screen TV Pro has been released in three sizes: 43-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch. All these models come with 4K display (3840 x 2160 pixels) with HDR10 support and 178-degree viewing angles. Xiaomi said that these TVs are capable of supporting 8K video playback with the help of the 9th generation image processing engine. As for the processor, these come with all-new 12nm quad-core Amlogic T972 chipset.
There is 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage available with the TVs. It offers DTS-HD and Dolby Audio for a premium audio output experience. In terms of build quality, Xiaomi has made use of aluminum alloy frames which features 3D carbon fiber pattern on the back for design. It will be running PatchWall UI as the software based on Android 9 Pie. There is also support for XiaAI digital assistant.
The Xiaomi Mi Full Screen TV Pro has been priced at CNY 1,499 for the 43-inch model, CNY 2,399 for the 55-inch model, and CNY 3,399 for the 65-inch model. These are already available for pre-order with sales starting September 27th in China.
