Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, View 20 Android 10 beta starts rolling out

24 October 2019 0

Huawei has started its Android 10 beta program for select devices earlier this month and now, it is the turn of Honor to do the same. It has started inviting applications for Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, and Honor View 20 Android 10 beta testing from users in regions like Germany, United Kingdom, and India.

Honor is testing Android 10 with the release of Magic UI 3.0 beta, the latest iteration of its own custom skin. The beta program has been kicked off in very limited quantity as reports suggest only up to 400 slots are available for each device. It is taking registrations through its own Beta app called FUT (Friendly User Test). It is an app that needs to be sideloaded on your Huawei/Honor device for participating in any beta program from the brands.

Once the app is installed, you will need to sign-in using your Huawei account which is a mandatory step. The next step is to visit Personal -> Join Project -> Available Projects sections. It will show you the list of beta programs available for your particular Honor smartphone. It will also show you the number of slots available for the particular program.

As per shared screenshots, the latest beta has Magic UI 3.0 version number 10.0.0.157 (C636E3R2P4log). It weighs 4.79GB in size which means it is a big update and one should connect to WiFi for downloading the same. It also means that there is a long list of changes included in the update with biggest change being Android 10.
