Honor has officially announced Honor 9X global version that will be sold outside China. Even though the name is unchanged, it is not the Honor 9X that was launched in China two months ago. It is essentially the Honor 9X Pro but with a few changes that actually make it the third device. In other words, Honor took the Pro version. made some changes to specifications, and the released it globally under the name Honor 9X.
The global variant of Honor 9X sports a 6.59-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with no notch, no punch-hole camera. It is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor which is the biggest difference. The Pro variant in China comes with Kirin 810 processor instead. It has been released in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB configuration models but only a few regions will get the higher variant.
It has the same triple rear camera setup as the Pro model featuring a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture. There is an 8-megapixel wide-angle (120-degree FoV) sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor to complete the setup. The front camera is a 16-megapixel pop-up sensor for taking selfies and making video calls.
There is a 4,000mAh battery to keep the lights on along with support for 10W fast charging. It has a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and it will run Android 9 Pie out of the box. The good thing is that it comes with all the Google apps and services as the Honor 9X was originally launched before the U.S. ban came into action.
