Xiaomi has officially announced a new launch event for November 5 in China where it will be announcing a few new hardware products. The star of the show will be the Mi CC9 Pro smartphone and it will be joined by a new Mi TV smart TV and a company-first smartwatch product. The event will be held in Beijing which is a favorite place for launch events among Chinese companies.
The Mi CC9 Pro will be the newest member of the CC-series that Xiaomi says is aimed at "creative and curious" users. It debuted the lineup with the launch of the Mi CC9 and CC9e earlier this year. The upcoming Pro model will largely be a camera-centric smartphone. As per the official teaser, it will have a total of five cameras including the main 108-megapixel sensor. This will make it the second smartphone after Mi Mix Alpha to feature the camera sensor.
It seems like Xiaomi will offer camera sensors for every type of mobile photography need. It means we are likely to see a standard sensor, a wide-angle sensor, a macro sensor, and a telephoto sensor. The teaser image further confirms that the Mi CC9 Pro camera setup will support up to 5x optical zoom. The back panel also has dual-LED flashes which are likely to be beneficial for low-light shots.
Other rumored specifications include a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED notched display. It is said to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is further said to have a 32-megapixel front camera, 4000mAh battery, Android 10, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi's first smartwatch will also be launched at the same event. It is speculated to run Google's Wear OS as the software which means it will be compatible with various Android apps. There could be support for eSIM cards, 4G LTE networks, and NFC connectivity. It is likely to come with a digital assistant integration so that users can make use of voice commands for interactions.
