Xiaomi starts releasing MIUI 11 for second batch of eligible devices

08 November 2019 0

Sticking to its rollout schedule, Xiaomi has started releasing the MIUI 11 stable version to the second batch of eligible devices. There are a total of 12 new and old smartphones that will get a taste of Xiaomi's latest iteration. It should be noted that this is only an MIUI upgrade and not an Android version upgrade. It means the Android version of these smartphones will stay the same as it was with MIUI 10 build.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this new rollout is meant for the Chinese units. It means it is the MIUI 11 Chinese ROM that is getting released. But considering the global ROM release timeline, its rollout should also be around the corner. The global ROM's second phase includes about 15 smartphones from Xiaomi as well as the Redmi brand. It is quite possible some of the devices will receive the update earlier than others. This is the reason it is advised to be patient and look out for the update notification.

Here is the list of eligible devices part of MIUI 11 China ROM second batch:

If you have any of these devices, you should be receiving an update notification soon enough. You can also check for the update manually by visiting the phone's settings. The actual update size is likely to vary from device to device but it is advised to connect to WiFi if there is a large download size.
