Huawei P30, P30 Pro EMUI 10 Android 10 stable update starts rolling out

11 November 2019 0

After about a month of beta testing, it is time for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro units to receive EMUI 10 stable update. The stable update brings the latest EMUI iteration as well as the latest Android version i.e. Android 10. The release is in line with the recently shared stable rollout schedule.

It should be noted that stable rollout is currently available only in China. If you are a global unit user, you will still have to wait but the overall waiting period should not take too long. The stable version bears build number and is available for both stable as well as beta channel users. If you are on the stable channel, you should have the build number to receive the update and it will weigh about 5GB in size. For beta users, the update is only about 1GB in size and they need to have as the current build.

It is an over the air software update for both channel users. It means once it becomes available for your particular unit, you will receive an update notification. One can also check for the update manually by visiting system Settings and About Phone section from the list of settings. Another way of checking the update is through the HiCare app that comes pre-installed on Huawei and Honor smartphones.

As per the release timeline, Huawei has a few more smartphones lined up to receive the stable EMUI 10 release by the end of this month. These include current and old generation flagships like Mate 30 and Mate 20 series respectively. Its sub-brand Honor will also release Magic UI 3.0 stable for Honor View 20 aka V20, Honor 20 series, and Honor Magic 2 this month.
