Realme has scheduled a launch event on November 20th in India where it will announce the Realme X2 Pro. As it turns, it will not be the only phone that will be released. It has a new budget mid-range phone named Realme 5s lined up for launch at the same event. An official teaser page for the phone was spotted on Flipkart, an online shopping partner for Realme phones.
The teaser reveals that Realme 5s will come with a 48-megapixel quad camera setup. It is a vertically aligned setup and there is also a fingerprint scanner in the center of the back panel. This is the same as what we saw with the Realme 5 smartphone suggesting that the upcoming phone is likely to be an improved version.
A separate BGR India report claims that Realme 5s is essentially Realme 5 but with a 48-megapixel primary sensor instead of the 12-megapixel. It means the other three camera sensors will remain the same: 8-megapixel wide-angle, 2-megapixel telephoto, and 2-megapixel macro. Additionally, all other specifications are said to be unchanged as well.
It means Realme 5s should have a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) display with a small notch. The hardware configuration should be Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. It will have a 5,000mAh battery and run Android 9 Pie out of the box.
