Huawei MatePad Pro tablet launch set for November 25

15 November 2019 0

Huawei has confirmed that it will introduce a new Mate series product on November 25th in China. The teaser poster for the event has been shared by Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The poster does not reveal anything other than the launch date and that a new "Mate family member" is arriving.

It is quite possible that Huawei may release more than one product at the event. The official details are certainly missing at this point but thanks to recent rumors, it is speculated at least one of the products will be the MatePad Pro. It is an Android tablet that has been making rounds of the rumor mill for about a month now.

The Huawei MatePad Pro is rumored to be a one-of-its-kind tablet as it features a punch-hole display. The hole-like cutout is on the top right corner and is meant for housing the selfie camera. Since there is only one hole, it will have a single front camera. The side bezels are very thin and the same is true for top and bottom bezels.

Moving to the backside, the upcoming tablet is reported to feature dual rear cameras. This is another unique thing as this will make it the first tablet to feature dual cameras. The camera setup is accompanied by an LED flash to help with low-light situations. The tablet is further expected to come with a magnetic keyboard accessory and a stylus pen support.

We do not know much about the MatePad Pro specifications but it is rumored to come with HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. The battery capacity is unknown but it is said to offer 40W fast charging. Lastly, it is expected to become available in White, Black, Orange, and Green color variants.

The Huawei MatePad isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
