Xiaomi has launched a new Mi TV 4X series model as part of the 2020 lineup. It is a 55-inch Mi TV 4X model that joins three existing 65-inch, 50-inch, and 43-inch models that were announced earlier this year. It offers similar specifications and features but with a few under the hood improvements.
The new Mi TV 4X 2020 edition sports a 55-inch 4K HDR display panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. It also has Xiaomi's proprietary Vivid Picture Engine claimed to offer "best possible" color saturation. It further has 20W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support for premium audio output.
Under the hood, it has a quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-450 MP3 GPU. It has an 8GB of onboard storage for installing your preferred apps. Its connectivity options include three HDMI ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It comes with PatchWall 2.0, an improved version of Xiaomi's custom skin for smart TVs. There is support for more than 16 content partners including YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, Sony LIV, Zee5, Hungama, ALT Balaji, Voot, JioCinema, and Hooq. The custom UI is based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie and has Google Assistant integration. It also has Data Saver feature aimed at helping users who rely on mobile hotspots for content streaming.
Xiaomi has priced the new 55-inch Mi TV 4X at Rs. 34,999 that makes it one of the affordable 4K TVs in India. It will be sold via Mi.com, Amazon India, and Mi Home stores starting December 2nd.
