Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has announced that it has sold over 10 million Redmi Note 8 series devices around the globe. It has achieved the milestone in only three months of the launch which is one month faster than last year's Redmi Note 7 series. These numbers account for an impressive 110,000 units getting sold on a daily basis.
The series includes two smartphones named Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. Both of these are quad-camera smartphones but the Pro variant comes with a 64-megapixel main shooter. They offer great value for money to customers in terms of specifications and features they get for the asking price. This has been the unique selling point of all Redmi Note series devices and has helped it remain a fan favorite in the mid-range segment.
It has proved to be a hit even in India as it crossed 1 million sales mark within only one month of the local launch. Redmi also released a third variant named Redmi Note 8T last month. There were rumors that the team was working on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G variant of the phone but Redmi has officially denied such claims.
Redmi is currently busy preparing for the Redmi K30 launch scheduled for December 10th. It will be the first 5G smartphone from the brand with support for SA and NSA bands. It is expected that the Redmi K30 Pro will be unveiled at the same event as these will be succeeding already popular Redmi K20 series.
