Xiaomi has finally started rolling out Mi A2 Android 10 update. A number of users have shared screenshots and posts about the same on the official Mi Community forums. It is reported the update is now available in different regions including India, Brazil, Finland, Colombia, and Portugal.
It is an over-the-air (OTA) update that bears the build number 22.214.171.124.QDIMIXM. The size of the update is around 1.3GB which makes it a hefty one. It is advised that you connect to a good WiFi connection before proceeding with the downloading process to avoid any unwanted data charges.
The update is said to bring all the major Android 10 features that you would expect. These include system-wide dark mode support, Smart Replies, Focus mode, and a dedicated Privacy section. Just like it is the case with Android One devices, the update is closer to stock Android. It means you will not get bloatware and intrusive ads in the interface.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 was unveiled in July 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo as the pre-installed software. It was updated to the then-latest Android 9 Pie towards the end of the year. And now after about a year, Xiaomi has updated it with its second major upgrade. This is likely to be its last upgrade Android One devices are promised to receive major updates for two years from the time of release.
