Microsoft has officially announced the expansion of the Xbox Console Streaming preview to all Xbox-supported countries. It effectively means that the streaming service is now available everywhere around the world. The service was released in the preview stage last year and was limited only to the United States and United Kingdom users.
Xbox Console Streaming is a service that allows Xbox users to stream games from their consoles on smartphones and tablets. It works with all Xbox games regardless of how they were purchased. It means no matter you purchased a title individually or via Xbox Game Pass, you will be able to stream it on your smartphone.
Great news for Xbox Insiders globally: Our Xbox Console Streaming preview, the ability to remotely access Xbox One games directly from your console via a mobile device, has expanded to all Xbox One-supported countries. In order to be a part of the preview, you will first need to be an Xbox console owner as well as an Xbox Insider. Ensure that your console is a part of the Xbox One Update Preview ring. Other pre-requisites include an Android device running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or higher, an Xbox One wireless controller, and a "high-speed" internet connection.
Once you tick all the boxes, install the Xbox Game Streaming app on your Android device. The app is also in the preview stage just like the streaming service. Launch the app and go through the setup process as detailed within the app. The process includes a network test that will tell if you have a good enough connection. If everything is good, you will be able to stream your Xbox games without any issues.
