UPDATE (Janaury 23rd, 2020):

Xiaomiska (@xiaomishka), a Twitter user known for leaking Xiaomi products, seems to have decoded the message hidden in Poco's Season 2 teaser video. The user has shared a screenshot from the video that suggests that Poco's next smartphone is named Poco X2. You can refer to the tweet below to see how the user decoded the message.

Original (January 22nd, 2020)

Just days after becoming an independent brand, POCO has shared a couple of teasers on social media talking about the beginning of "Season 2". It has urged its fans to prepare themselves for Season 2 which is said to begin soon. Since these are teasers, there are no details regarding what exactly POCO is talking about.

One major speculation is that "Season 2" is simply a way of referring to the successor of POCO F1, the first and only smartphone released by the company so far. It was launched in 2018 when POCO was born as a sub-brand under Xiaomi. As it has now become a separate entity, it seems like a perfect time to announce the upgraded version i.e. POCO F2 for all the waiting fans.

Interestingly, a mysterious smartphone from POCO was spotted in a BIS listing recently. The phone in question has a model number M1912G7BI which does not reveal anything about the phone. But again, it has led fans and enthusiasts to believe that it is actually the POCO F2 but we would ask you to take these speculations with a pinch of salt.

A separate report published two weeks ago talked about the arrival of the POCO F2 Lite. It is a phone rumored to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor and paired with 6GB of RAM. The battery capacity is said to be 5,000mAh which should be good enough for at least a day's usage.

The Xiaomi Poco X2 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
