POCO F1 Android 10 update finally starts rolling out

23 January 2020 0

After a long wait, the POCO F1 is finally receiving its much-awaited Android 10 update. The new Android version is layered with the same MIUI 11 that the device has been running for quite some time. Xiaomi released MIUI 11 version for the phone last year but it was based on Android Pie which is a year-old Android version.

The new POCO F1 Android 10 update is an over the air update like all stable updates. It means you will receive an update notification as and when it will arrive for your particular unit. The update rollout is going on in batches and as a result, some users will receive it earlier than others.

The size of the update is 1.9GB which makes it a hefty update. It is advised to connect to a WiFi connection before tapping that Download button. The big update size means that there are a number of changes, new features, bug fixes, and under the hood performance improvements. It also brings the latest Android security patch for January 2020.

In other news, POCO became an independent brand last week. It has teased that "Season 2" is coming which is speculated to be related to POCO F1 successor. We will keep you updated about these developments as more details will become available.

The Poco F1 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
