At the beginning of the last month, Oppo revealed its product launch plans for 2020. It talked about a number of interesting products that it will be releasing for the first time. One such product is a smartwatch that will mark its entry into the wearable segment. And now, it has released an official teaser image giving an idea of the product design.
Brian Shen, Vice President of Oppo, shared an image on the Chinese social network Weibo. The image shows that the first Oppo smartwatch has a square-shaped dial. There are two physical buttons on the right side which should be meant for navigation purposes. The watch has been shown in the Gold color variant with matching strap.
The smartwatch display shows a colorful watch face where one can see the date and time. It seems like Oppo will make use of OLED display panel with Always On Display support. If this happens, it should allow the company to offer various watch faces that can be used as per a user's need or preference.
This is pretty much all that is known about the Oppo smartwatch. There are currently no details on the technical specifications and features of the smartwatch. It is confirmed to arrive sometime in Q1 2020 which means we should expect Oppo to release more
