If you were waiting for next week's Galaxy Unpacked event to see the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 powered smartphone announcement, ZTE has a surprise for you. It has listed the ZTE Axon 10s Pro on the official website making it official as the first-ever smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor.
It is the same smartphone that ZTE showcased late last year and was scheduled for Q1 2020 release. The Axon 10s Pro sports a 6.47-inch Full HD+ notched display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has been released in two configuration variants: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
There is a triple camera setup on the back panel which includes a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with 125-degree FoV, and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor. It has a 20-megapixel front camera housed within the waterdrop-styled notch. The whole package is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4+ fast charging support.
The ZTE Axon 10s Pro will run the Android 10 operating system out of the box. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, WiFi, and 5G connectivity. It will support both SA and NSA 5G network bands. There are currently no details about the pricing and availability but we can expect these announcements at MWC 2020. ZTE was previously reported to be skipping MWC but it has denied those claims since then.
