This year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) will see Realme making its debut at the world's biggest mobile tech event. It will showcase a new 5G smartphone which was previously expected to be the Realme X50 5G. It is now confirmed that this new phone will be Realme X50 Pro 5G and its major specifications have been revealed as well.
The first confirmation of the smartphone's name came through a teaser posted by Realme on Weibo. It shows a glimpse of the top left corner of the smartphone confirming that it will have dual selfie cameras. The image clearly mentions that name as Realme X50 Pro 5G along with launch date and venue to be February 24th in Barcelona.
Xu Qi Chase, Vice-President and President of Global Marketing at Realme, has shared a screenshot of the phone's About Us page on Weibo. The page reveals that the Realme X50 Pro 5G will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with 12GB of RAM. It will offer 256GB of onboard storage and run Realme UI based on Android 10.
The same image reveals the phone's model number is RMX2071. However, it does not reveal details like display size, display resolution, camera specs, and battery capacity. It makes sense considering that Realme would want to keep certain details secret until the official announcement. It is the same event where Realme is also rumored to unveil first-ever Realme TV.
