iQOO 3 is coming with UFS 3.1 storage | UPD: Feb 25 launch in India

iQOO has confirmed that iQOO 3 will be its first 5G smartphone launch in India. The smartphone will be unveiled at an event on February 25th. It will be a Flipkart exclusive release and the eCommerce website has even set up a teaser page. It confirms that the iQOO 3 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and offer 5G connectivity.

Vivo's sub-brand iQOO is working on a new smartphone launch as it is also ready to enter the Indian market as an independent entity. It has already confirmed that its first release will be a 5G smartphone and for the past few days, it is rumored to be called the iQOO 3. The team has now released an official launch teaser for the phone and has also confirmed one particular feature.

The official teaser confirms the name for the smartphone i.e. iQOO 3. It shows a male and a female along with a sky lantern where one can see the iQOO logo. There are a few other elements as well which make it clear what will be the official name of the upcoming smartphone.


In a separate Weibo post from the iQOO account, the team has confirmed that the iQOO 3 will come with UFS 3.1 storage. This will make it the first-ever smartphone to feature the new and improved storage standard. The new standard is expected to offer improved performance as well as better battery life.

The iQOO 3 is widely rumored to be a true Android flagship smartphone. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. It is expected to sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ OLED display and a quad-camera setup. This is said to include a 64-megapixel main camera sensor, dual 13-megapixel sensors, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It will have a 16-megapixel punch-hole selfie camera and a 4,370mAh battery with 55W charging support.
