Gionee has launched Gionee P5W which was unveiled last year in December, its new entry level smartphone in India priced at INR 6,499($95). The phone comes with a 5" IPS LCD HD display, with 1280 x 768p resolution, 294ppi pixel density. The phone comes in different colors in polycarbonate body, with colors White, Blue, Red, Yellow and Black as options.
Gionee P5W comes with quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 processor, MediaTek MT6735 with a Mali-T720 GPU. The phone comes with a 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with support for 128GB expandable storage. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.1 UI on top of OS. The phone is dual-sim and supports 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, OTG, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port, for security there is fingerprint sensor present on the phone.
The phone has a 5MP rear camera with video at 1080p@30fps, on the front there is a 2MP camera for selfies, the phone comes with a removable 2000mAh battery. The phone also features AMI lock feature which allows you to set face recognition option to unlock the phone.
Recently Gionee has been on a launching spree with the launch of Marathon M5 Lite in India and Marathon M5 Mini in Nigeria. Gionee is also launching its next photography focused smartphone Elife S8 at MWC later this month.
