Samsung is all ready to launch its refreshed J series, and now Samsung J7 with Exynos version has appeared on benchmark sites. The Galaxy J7 (2016) with the Exynos 7870 model number SM-J710FN came up on the benchmark, The new Exynos 7870 should succeed the Exynos 7580. The Exynos 7870 is an octa-core chip with a clock speed of nearly 1.7GHz on the tested unit. The Exynos model will come with 2GB RAM as opposed to 3GB RAM in Snapdragon version.
The phone is running Android 6.0.1, as Samsung J7(2016) will be a low mid-range device, 2GB RAM looks plausible on the new phone. The Exynos 7870, model performs better in both single-core and multi-core tests, which is to be expected considering this is a newer chip. Samsung J7(2016) promises to be good upgrade over the last generation Samsung J7.
The phone comes with a 5.5" 720p resolution screen, with 16GB in built storage, there is a new 13MP camera on the back while on front there is a 5MP selfie camera. The Galaxy J7 (2016) has been making appearances a few times in the last month, as with the previous Galaxy J7 Samsung released two variants one with Exynos and the other one with Snapdragon processor. Samsung is continuing the same plan this year also with two variants for the upgraded version of J7, albeit with some differences like screen resolution and and RAM.
