18 March 2016 0

The Chinese smartphone maker ZTE is appearing to be working on a new smartphone. The new phone with model number ZTE A2017 has been spotted on GFXBench. While there is not much information about the device, the listed specs point towards a flagship-level phone in the line.

As per the listing, the ZTE A2017 sports a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with two cores clocked at 2.1GHz and other two cores clocked at 1.6GHz. There is Adreno 530 GPU with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the camera front, it is listed to have a 19MP rear shooter with 4k video recording capabilities and a 7MP front-facing camera which hints towards a 21MP and 8MP camera combo. The good thing is that the phone will be shipping with Android Marshmallow v6.0.1 if things do not change by the time phone is announced officially.

This is what we know about the ZTE A2017 smartphone so far. It can also be the next smartphone in the ZTE Axon series under which the company launched a number of models last year. But nothing can be said at the moment as all of these are based on assumptions, so we will have to wait for more information to come.
