Both the devices are juicy in performance and hold a variety of features. And, that’s why they are standing against each other to give a head-on competition. Huawei’s Nexus 6P 64GB model has so much to deliver at the same price range at which iPhone SE 16GB model comes. But hold on! Did you just underestimate the power of iPhone SE’s dual core processor? Well, it’s not your fault as the name of the processor is conveying so. But, it’s not what you’re thinking about. Apple takes care of the peculiarities of its devices well and knows where it needs to push the maximum potential. Apple is using A9 processor inside iPhone SE and this configuration adds so much power to the device.
Difference between iPhone SE and Nexus 6P –
Apple once again repeated the history and launched a 4-inch device iPhone SE where SE stands for the “Special Edition.” There is hearsay around the internet that says iPhone SE could replace the iPhone 5s device which was launched back in 2013 as the listing of the latter device isn’t found on the Apple’s website. Well, there is a reason for discontinuing iPhone 5s as the newly launched iPhone is identical to it but more powerful. Yes, iPhone SE is as powerful as iPhone 6s. So, comparing it with the likes of Nexus 6P does make sense to you now. Isn’t it? We are more concerned about the performances of the two devices when it comes to comparing and making out differences. Nexus 6P holds a great profile and is quite sturdy. But, at the same time, we have to see how the combination of A9 processor and iOS 9.3 is adding fuel to the little iPhone SE. So, let’s get started.
Design, Build & Display -
Nexus 6P has a flattering design; it holds an aluminum body with a glass bar. It has a thinner profile which is currently the biggest aspect for any user. Apple iPhone SE holds the all-metal body with chamfered edges. Apple’s iPhones are impeccable in design and iPhone SE holds the same flaunting and mesmerizing design.
iPhone SE has a flat back with matte sides, the combination adds so much beauty to the device and offers a satin-like finish to the device. Apple also embedded a stainless steel logo at the back of the iPhone SE. Apple offers a treat to those people who don’t like a phablet. So, if you want a smartphone that could fit inside your pockets well then definitely iPhone SE is your choice. However, the majority of people now love to go with the large-sized displays and hence they would prefer Nexus 6P definitely. Many surveys have been conducted to record the tastes of the users in terms of the screen size of the device. Surprisingly, India is more inclined towards the phablets. Now, we have to see how iPhone SE would perform in this country. Nexus 6P is available in Graphite, Frost, and Aluminium (Gold colored variant is available in some regions) whereas iPhone SE comes in four different colors Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Space Gray. Nexus 6P due to its display holds 178gms whereas iPhone SE comes with 113gms only. So, iPhone SE is lighter than the Huawei Nexus 6P.

Processor and Performance –
Now, let’s talk about something which is not as visible as the screen size. We are going to talk about the processors both the devices hold. Huawei’s Nexus 6P is powered by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core MSM8994 processor clocked at 2.15GHz and coupled with a 3GB RAM. Now, the configuration looks unbeatable in front of iPhone SE’s as Qualcomm’s processors are so much powerful and holds a great strength. But, the presence of SD810 wasn’t favorable for many devices due to the heating issues. Thanks to the Huawei’s strategy that used the Snapdragon v2.1 revised version of SD810 on the Nexus 6P. Thus, Huawei Nexus 6P successfully passed the brutal incident of SD810 and now the device is giving a tough competition to many other flagships.
Apple using A9 dual-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz inside their compact iPhone SE. The processor is 1.8x times faster than the A8 processor. The latter has adorned iPad Air 2 like devices before. The A9 processor inside iPhone SE is just coupled with 1GB RAM unlike Nexus 6P that has a 3GB RAM. The RAM size looks incomparable but this is what the strategy of Apple and the company adheres to the same for so many years. A9 processor is so powerful that it needs only 1GB RAM to drive itself.
Apple says that iPhone SE has two times faster CPU and three times faster GPU performance compared to iPhone 5s. Also, Apple’s next-generation motion coprocessor M9 is integrated into A9 thus allowing more features to run all the time at lower power, including “Hey Siri” without having to pick up your iPhone, and a range of fitness tracking capabilities like measuring your steps and distance.

How is iPhone SE different from Nexus 6P in terms of the camera?
iPhone SE has an advanced 12MP iSight camera featuring Focus Pixel technology for the fast focusing. This configuration provides advanced noise reduction, third-generation local tone mapping and better face detection, all resulting in sharper and detailed images like the one we see through iPhone 6s. iPhone SE also supports Live Photos which allows the users to take a 3-seconds moving picture. The 12MP camera of the iPhone SE has an ability to shoot HD video with support for 4K at a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. The camera of the device holds retina flash which momentarily makes the display three times brighter with the True Tone lighting technology. It also includes exciting features like slo-mo, time-lapse with video stabilization and cinematic video stabilization. With so many interesting camera features, iPhone SE is giving a tough competition to the Nexus 6P.
Huawei Nexus 6P also holds a 12MP rear camera without OIS technology. Apple’s iPhone SE holds F2.2 aperture whereas Nexus 6P holds a F2 aperture. Nexus 6P wins at the selfie department as it has an 8MP front snapper whereas iPhone SE only has a 1.2MP front-facing camera but the presence of the retina flash makes the selfie crispier.

Operating system –
This point can change the game entirely and the dice can go to either place this time! The reason, we are saying so is because Nexus 6P holds the stock Android and the term is enough to introduce itself against other Android flagships from the brands like Samsung, LG. The clean Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS has so much to deliver to Nexus 6P device. The OS is giving a smoother performance to the Nexus 6P as it doesn’t have any bloat wares. Android Marshmallow, according to the Google is the major update ever. The software comes with many interesting features like Doze mode, Google Now on Tap, and improved personalization of apps. Well, Nexus devices are meant to hold this quality; or we should better say this is the unique concept adhere by Google.
Coming to iPhone SE, the device has the soul of iOS 9.3 which is the latest version of the iOS 9. This latest version is updated with the features like Night mode which allows users to read the content on their iPhones when the light is low. The latest version also gives improved Siri, powerful search, and proactive assistance. Both the software holds something in them that make them unique. Android lovers who have been using a Samsung, LG or any OEM device would love to go for Nexus 6P due to the clean Android OS. But, at the same time, iPhone SE can intrigue many as it comes with Apple’s latest iOS 9.3.
One thing which makes us feel sad is the absence of 3D touch inside iPhone SE. This is one of the major differences of iPhone SE and iPhones 6s.
Battery and storage –
Apple has kept the specifications of iPhone SE minimal and the same strategy has also affected the battery capacity. iPhone SE holds only 1642mAH battery whereas Nexus 6P comes with a massive 3450mAH battery capacity. We have to say that the difference between the Nexus 6P and iPhone SE in terms of battery is quite huge. Apple kept the minimal specifications and the company believes that 1642mAH battery should be enough to power the device for butter smooth performance.
Coming to the storage, Nexus 6P also wins the game here against iPhone SE as the former is coming around at 39,000INR for 64GB and the latter holds the same price but for a lesser storage of 16GB. The difference is quite huge. Talking about the prices, Nexus 6P is definitely stealing our hearts by providing 64GB model at the same price range. The screen size and the Super AMOLED display are roaring that the price should be high but Google just took the right decision. Here, we believe Nexus 6P is certainly a good option to go with.

When it comes to battery and storage & price trade off we really wanna give Nexus 6P a point over iPhone SE as at Rs.39,000, Nexus 6P offers much against the iPhone SE. On the other hand, those who haven't yet tasted the iOS should definitely go with the iPhone SE as this is the compact, beautiful and powerful device. At last, we will only say that the choice of displays depends on one's own preferences. When the majority of people look for phablets, Apple came with a different strategy to test whether the charm of the 4-inch devices is still in demand or not. This is indeed a good move from Apple for those who struggles a lot to get a small sized device with a powerful soul. There are a few smartphones present in the market from local OEMS that could certainly grant your wish of 4-inch devices but those available compact phones aren't as powerful as the latest iPhone SE. The choice is yours, if you're switching from Android then definitely go for iPhone SE but this way would hinder you to taste the cleaner Android OS present in the Nexus 6P. Differences between the iPhone SE and Nexus 6P are significant and hence needs to be taken care of before taking any decision.
