Xiaomi Redmi 3A appears in GFXBench listing

As per updated Benchmark database on GFXBench, the mysterious Xiaomi’s smartphone passed through it codenamed as Xiaomi Land. Well from the look of things, it seems this device is Redmi 3A. This device will be the successor variant of Redmi 2A and will take design queues from recently announced Redmi 3

According to benchmark results, the device is packed with a 5 inches HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The Qualcomm’s Octa core Snapdragon 435 is powering the device with a clocking speed of 1.4GHz and Adreno 505 as GPU. The process is accompanied by 3GB of RAM and internal storage of base model is 16GB. The benchmarked device is on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. Surprisingly, the benchmark didn’t mention details regarding the camera of this upcoming device.

The device predecessor Xiaomi Redmi 2A was announced back in June 2015. Last year flagship Redmi 2 was announced in January whereas the Redmi 2A was announced after five months, so we can expect the same pattern for this year Redmi 3A because Redmi 3 flagship was announced in Jan 2016 this year.

As being a mid-range smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi 3A base model will be available for 599 yuan in China. So for sure having an aforementioned mid-range price and specs, we can expect this device will sell like hot cake in the Chinese market. This smartphone will further help Xiaomi to be one of the top budget-friendly smartphone manufacturers in the market.
