OnePlus founder Pei shows sketches of the smartwatch they scrapped

29 June 2016 0

If you might remember then earlier this month, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had revealed that they were working on a smartwatch but decided to scrap it later. He said that they had completed the designing part but eventually gave up the project to focus only on high-end smartphones, a decision similar to the shut down of OnePlus X series.

While we will never get to see the OnePlus smartwatch they were working on, company's co-founder Carl Pei has now shared sketches of the smartwatch. From the sketches, it can be seen that the smartwatch would have had a round dial like the Moto 360. You can also notice that there is a detachable component for replacing the strap.

You can check out the sketches below:

So, what do you think of the OnePlus smartwatch? Would you have bought it after seeing the sketches and considering that OnePlus had offered great specs for less price like its smartphones? Share your views with us via the comments section below.
