14 July 2016 1

A good news for all those who like Xiaomi's MIUI ROM. Xiaomi has just announced that the upcoming versions of the MIUI OS will be based on the latest version of Android which is Nougat. Xiaomi confirms that they have received the source code of Android Nougat and will be soon working on the new MIUI adoption based on Android N.

This interesting information surfaced during the announcement of the company sharing the fact that they will soon start working on the MIUI 9 development. The company is currently taking suggestions from the users to improve the new version. So, it is being estimated that when the first beta for MIUI 9 is released after a few months, it's based on Android N.

This is indeed a great news for the Xiaomi followers who crave for improving the new features in their ROM instead of upgrading it to the new Android version.

Keep in mind that the company has only received the source code and releasing a stable version of ROM can take a lot of time.

The stable version of MIUI 8 ROM is yet to come. Xiaomi has given a sigh of relief to the consumers saying that the official release of the stable ROM should appear on August 16.
