Samsung start rolling out Marshmallow OTA update for the Galaxy Note 4 Australian variant

Although Google unveiled the next Android OS update as Android Nougat but still few Android giant manufacturers are rolling out the current Android Marshmallow OS to their devices and Samsung is one of them. Who has yet to complete the cycle of rolling Android Marshmallow OTA update to their devices. Nearly two months ago, Samsung starts rolling out Android Marshmallow for the Galaxy note 4 European variants. Nearly all European Galaxy Note 4 users received the latest Marshmallow.

Now company start rolling out the same version of Android Marshmallow for the unbranded variants of Galaxy Note 4 in Australia. The Australian non-branded variants of Galaxy Note 4 are the last ones to receive the latest Android Marshmallow because after Australia nearly all variants of Note 4 around the globe will be running on the current version of Android OS.

Let’s have a look at what major changes Android Marshmallow is bringing for the Galaxy Note 4 Australian non-branded variants. The first change will be firmware version will be changed to Android Marshmallow. The new update will provide more control to Android users over the app permissions.

The second goodie of this update, now users can purchase anything using the native fingerprint scanner support. Which is more reliable and secure. The Battery time period of the device is also enhanced thanks to a special Doze feature of Marshmallow update. The new App drawer is completely redesigned which looks more beautiful than earlier versions.

If your device is in auto update mode, you will get an update notification and your device will notify you after downloading the update. Otherwise, you can check manually as well by going into Settings then About Device and in this menu, there will be a Software update option, you can click it to manually whether the update is available or not. If available you can update it. Before start updating your device, it is important to mention that your handset battery should be above 50% charge and your WI-FI network should also be stable as well to avoid any interruptions while downloading.
