In the first half of the July South, Korean giant Samsung unveiled a new smartphone of its J lineup. The device was unveiled as j2 2016. The device didn’t attain much limelight company was expecting and many gadget experts mentioned this device as a failure of Samsung. The device was unveiled for Rs. 9,750 ($144) in India. The low-level entry specs were so disappointing that it was not even good value for customer’s money. The device was too much underpowered as it was packed with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB internal storage out of which 5GB is used by device OS.
From the look of things, it seems Samsung has heard customer’s criticism and today wraps off a new variant of the J2 lineup as J2 Pro. This device is featuring 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage. Not just that company also added the new TST (Turbo Speed Technology) tech as well for faster speed of performance.
The new J2 Pro is featuring same design and specs sheet like the J2 2016 except the RAM and ROM. The J2 Pro is packed with a 5 inches super AMOLED display. The rear snapper is 8MP while the front-facing sensor is of 5MP. A 2600mAh battery will keep its lights on. The Android Marshmallow 6.0 is on board as OS with the TouchWiz UX layer.
What’s great about the new J2 Pro is that despite upgraded specs sheet customers will not have to pay extra cash. The retail for the J2 pro will be for Rs. 9,890 ($147) in India and exclusively will be available from Snapdeal from July 26th onwards. The price difference between both variants price tag is just Rs. 140 ($4). We should appreciate this as a good gesture from Samsung that they didn’t increase price despite upgraded specs sheet, they could increase price tag up to $200.
Now this device will be pretty much capable of competition in the crowded pocket-friendly mid-ranger Indian smartphone market as nearly all companies from around the globe are trying to sell their mid-ranger in this market. We are sure now Samsung fans will look to this latest Samsung model if they are planning to grab a mid-ranger smartphone.
